I have a twitter account. There are three reasons. One is that Hugh has one. Another reason was that there were a smattering of interesting comments made by Matt Mullenweg during this interview.
This was my first tweet:

Went to see Ani Difranco last night. She has new songs. Some folks seemed a little affected by that. Luckily, I don’t really know her old songs that well. She is really wonderful. High energy. And super smart. Some guy was yelling smack about Obama and she had five easy things to say about it…

Harper’s Conservatives, and the business media that share their interest, have been very negative about national coalitions. My understanding is that half of Canadians favour them. That’s many more Canadians than favour the Conservatives. And Harper has been somewhat duplicitous about his own interest in them…

Well since you’re a bit of an old school tech guy, curmudgeon, blogger from the 90’s, and generally discerning, I found your tweeting provocative. The third reason is that Twitter caused democratic rebellion in the Middle East. Right?
